Media might have spread the news that post break-up Deepika Padukone has lost her weight and she is totally heartbroken but the ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress have something else to say. When media popped the question to Deepika, “Are you happy after your break-up with Ranbir?” angry Deepika Padukone said, “Of course, I am happy. Don’t I look happy?”

Deepika publicly spoke about her relationship during the launch of Neutrogena Fine Fairness’ at Grand Hyatt Mumbai. When reporters asked her about her split-up with Ranbir, she was angry but did not lost her cool and very reluctantly answered their question.

But when media became too personal and questioned her about the RK tattoo that she has inked on her back, she chose to remain mum. Another question that fumed Deepika was, “Is the brand coming out with a cream that will erase your tattoo?” At this stage Deepika preferred to maintain silence.

For the first time after his alleged break-up with Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor has let his heart out.”What’s funny is that I never said we broke up or that we are getting back together,” said Ranbir. For the first time, the actor also commented on Deepika winning the  Cosmo award for Sexiest Female Actor of 2009. “She is extremely sexy and a great actress,” he said.

However, if one thinks that things have been all good between the two, one is surely mistaken. When asked about reports of the break-up taking a toll on the couple, Ranbir chose to speak only for himself and not Deepika.”Not on me. I can speak for myself. I am here as an actor to work with good directors in good movies and do good roles. That’s my purpose,” he said.

So why is it that unlike in the past, Ranbir has become less open about his personal life? Could it be because of things getting rough between Deepika and him? “I feel the audience really doesn’t want to hear about your personal life. That’s why I have taken this stand that I would rather speak about my work than my (personal) life,” said Ranbir.

Till now it was only assumed that Deepika Padukone has broken up with her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor but now the report has been confirmed by Deepika herself by refusing a film opposite Ranbir Kapoor. There is a strong buzz that Deepika has refused to work with Ranbir.

According to some sources close to the actors, “A well known producer recently offered a film to Deepika and planned to cast Ranbir as the male lead. But, the actress turned down the proposal simply for the reason that it had Ranbir opposite her.”

After the fall out, the ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress has devoted her 24/7 into films. Earlier she had divided her time between her work and boyfriend but now she is totally focused on her career. Deepika has become workaholic.

Deepika starred with Ranbir only in one film ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and it seems that this is their first and the last together.

Rumors have it, that Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have broken up. If this is true, then what will Deepika do with her RK tattoo, which she has inked on the nape of her neck? Deepika, at the moment, does not mind the tattoo, however; neither has she made any attempt to hide it.

Well, a lot of Bollywood celebrities have inked their beloved’s name on their bodies. But have they ever thought about what they will do if the relationships don’t last?

For example, Saif Ali Khan tattooed ‘Kareena‘ on his arm. Let’s not jinx it, but if both were to break up, how will he be able to hide it; or, will he resort to the treacherous surgery that is needed to remove it?

Ranbir Kapoor & Deepika Padukone

Though rumours of a break-up have been brewing for a while, it’s now clear that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have ended their relationship. Though various theories have been floating about the cause of their break-up, here’s the real reason why the two have parted ways.

Immediate speculation will point to Ranbir’s chemistry with Katrina Kaif. It’s hasty to pin the blame on Katrina though, as Deepika had seemed insecure before the pretty actress came into the picture. And it’s not Ma Kapoor that put the spanner in the works either.

Ranbir, after all, is a hot-blooded Kapoor. He is a natural charmer as far as women go and sooner or later, Deepika would have heard about his flirtations. Apparently, Ranbir isn’t too modest about it either. Discretion about his less-than-innocent encounters would’ve been highly advisable, but he hasn’t exactly been a posterboy for it so far. Common friends carried the news to Deepika, perhaps adding a bit of tadka for flavour.

This is when Deepika decided to call it off. Apparently, she told Ranbir to mend his ways since she had given a lot to this relationship. She had cut off ties with all her ‘good friends’ like Nihar Pandya and Yuvraaj Singh. So, she wanted Ranbir to give 100 per cent to the relationship as well. She kept hearing about his ‘friendship’ with Nandita Mahtani and other girls.

At this point of time, Ranbir started feeling suffocated in his relationship with Deepika. He asked for his space and Deepika justifiably wanted to know ‘What space? Aren’t we a couple?’

The final straw was hearing about his ‘crackling chemistry’ with Katrina. The next thing she did was to land up on the sets of Rajneeti in Bhopal, where Ranbir was shooting with Katrina. She stayed there for nearly two weeks.

After she came back from Bhopal, her relationship with Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh’s son was almost over. The crack first became evident at Shabina Khan’s birthday party two weeks ago where the two sat in different corners of the room.

And what about Neetu Singh? Mamma Neetu, who is said to have a very cold relationship with Deepika, did not play catalyst. A source says, “Neetu wants Ranbir to be happy. She will never go against his choice. Ranbir always treated Deepika as a girlfriend and not as someone special, basically there was no passion in their relationship.”
