Perfectionist Aamir Khan was not perfect at school but today he is a superstar. Aamir in his own words described how he was punished at school and how he used to run away from studies. Kneeling down before principal’s office was a routine for him and he was also caned the whole day.

“When in school, kneeling down in front of the principal’s office was a regular feature. I have also been caned a couple of times. It is strange that when you get caned, you don’t realize the pain instantly, but after two seconds it shoots so badly… It’s awful,” Aamir said while talking about his film ‘3 Idiots’.

“I used to be more interested in sports and hence used to always forget doing my homework. Also, poor marks used to create problems for me. I used to get scolded very often,” he added.

Aamir divulged that he studied till class 12 as he was more interested in dramatics. “My education has only been till 12th standard because after that I got into films. Even while in college for my 11th and 12th, I used to hardly attend classes because I was always busy with dramatics.

“Because of this, I didn’t have a very rocking college life. But during the shoot of ‘3 idiots’ I lived the moments of a student’s life and enjoyed the way students do,” said Aamir.

Based on Chetan Bhagat’s book ‘Five Point Someone’, ‘3 Idiots’ is slated to release on December 25.

Not too many wives would be keen to watch their husband romance a different women up close but Kiran Rao is different. Kiran will be flying down from France to watch Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor shoot a romantic song for their upcoming movie 3 Idiots. There is buzz that she is preparing for her next movie where she plans to cast Kareena opposite Aamir.

Sources close to Kiran said that she was keen to watch the shooting of the romantic song because she closely wanted to observe Aamir considered one of the most romantic stars in Bollywood in action with Kareena who is the numero uno star in the industry today. Kiran who is busy with her Dhobi Ghat, plans to make a romantic movie next.

This song will be the final schedule for the Raj Kumar Hirani directed movie which will then go for post production. The song will be shot on September 21 which is Kareena Kapoor ’s birthday. The shoot was delayed after Aamir ’s wife Kiran suffered a miscarriage. Aamir requested Kareena to shot on her birthday and Bebo obliged.

SRK, Aamir fight for the National Awards

Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan are now battling a new war i.e, the prestigious National Awards for the Best actors. Shahrukh Khan has been nominated for ‘Chak De India’ and Aamir Khan for ‘Taare Zameen Par’. Both are strong contenders and I&B Minister Ambika Soni will announce the awards next week. President Pratibha Patil will hand over the awards in Delhi to the winners.

Neither Shahrukh nor Aamir had won the awards for the best actors earlier. Apart from the best actor, Aamir Khan’s ‘Taare Zameen Par’ has been nominated for best film and Shahrukh’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ for the category of best feature film for wholesome entertainment.

Darsheel Safari of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ has been nominated for best child actor.

Shahrukh and Aamir are highly expecting the award as they have not won the award earlier.
